It's a Celebration #CLAP CLAP!BRAV0!

Over the weekend I had a lot to celebrate! Not only was I graduating but so was my cousin & it was also my sister's boyfriend's birthday!! yayyyyy so many blessings & celebrations!

We celebrated on Friday the 13th (yeah creepy right?) at a place called Iguana which is located on west 54th Street....it was such a great place food & music was great! Service was okay lol but then again there were 25 of us! It was great to be surrounded my family & friends! Overall I know everyone enjoyed themselves.

IMATS 2011 EXPERIENCE

So yes I am indeed long overdue to updating the blog but there is so much that has been happening the past month. I have been extremely busy therefore this post is late! So I am going to jump right into it--IMATS was great! For those who don't know IMATS stands for International Makeup Artist Trade Show.... Of course anyone who has ever been knows that, but this year it was the first time it was ever in NYC! Por fin! It was so exciting for my sister & I because we have been anticipating this event for so long.

Although it was the first year in NY we did have high expectations for this makeup & trade show we weren't completely disappointed but we knew if this was sOcal  it would have been even more amazing! It's okay though

Our first stop was OCC Makeup of course! & Lauren (QueenofBlendingMUA) was there working the booth. Me & Kia both bought some lip tars which we were very excited about!

 Kia got her glitter on & purchased a few items from them.

 As we were leaving I saw Alba (SunKissAlba) which told me she had to go buy some flats! Yeah heels were not a good idea girl!

IMATS WEEKEND AHEAD!!!!!

So my sister and I are looking forward to this weekend because we are going to IMATS!!!! For those who are unaware its a MAKEUP CONVENTION. We are hoping to do lots of shopping and meeting some YT Gurus.... Despite the fact that some of our brands will not be present it will still be a spectacular event. Hair Care

Hi ladies, 

So I recently decided to order the Macadamia & Argan Oil Hair Care Mini Set which I received yesterday in the mail... It is so tiny but it is a trial size which will allow me to try this product for about 30 days and critique. I decided to try out these products as I wanted to add some more Moisture to my hair. I also heard about this product from Jlovesmac1 on youtube.

Its Been A While....

Hi Ladies, 

Please excuse my sister and I from neglecting our blog :( So much has gone on and at this moment is when I found the time to Blog.... On another note, my sister and I took a trip to GoodBurger and it was absolutely delicious..... I would say that I enjoyed their Burger more than the Famous Shake Shack Burger.... 

You can't have a burger and not have the works along with a small Milkshake...... It was so enjoyable.... 
We will be updating more frequently or at least I will as my sister is getting ready to graduate from undergrad.

It surely has been a while since I last posted anything and I apologize because now that school is in full effect I have been on a slacker on our blog. It is my last semester so it is crunch time to the fullest. I need to stay focused if you know what I mean.

Anyways lately, me and my sister have been discussing lipsticks! Yeah it's kind of weird because we aren't really the lipstick types, I prefer stains or lipglosses or just plain old chapstick. I am  really into purples now I dont know if I am late on that band wagon but I don't care I like what I like whether it is "in" or not.  I've done some research and narrowed it down to two brands. Museum Of Sex Anyone?

My BF and I took a trip to this Museum recently as we were curious about what this exactly entailed. Well to our surprise, it was better than we expected. Within the Museum you will find lots of history regarding all types of sex. Another interesting factor was the cartoon characters that we saw. Including comic books with sexual positions and sexual stories.... MUSEUM OF SEX NEEDS TO BE ON YOUR TO DO LIST FOR 2011.... LITERALLY.... LMAO

Cold Weather

Hola Mujeres, 

I just wanted to share my thoughts about how cold it is in NY. I'm so over this weather its like 26 degrees but feels like its single digits due to the windchill. When the weather is this cold it is important to moisturize your skin.... Because I am a runner, I have been using thick facial creams to avoid wind burns on this lovely face of mine.... lol 

I think Miami is calling my name.....

What Inspires You?

IN-SPI-RA-TION [in-spuh-rey-shuhn] -noun.

 a few definitions i found:

• an inspiring or animating action or influence.
• something inspired, as an idea.  
• a result of inspired activity.
• a thing or person that inspires.

or a theological definition which happens to be my fav:

• influence directly and immediately exerted upon the mind or soul. a divine.

I find many things to be very inspirational to me. Including people in my life. Mainly my family and Best friends. I actually wanted this to be our first post but I guess this will be my first post apart from my sister.

I am on a roll today since I don't work today. My sister has been very inspired too we both want this blog to happen and even while she is at work she's been sending me pics and her writings so i can get the ball rollin ;)

So what or who has inspired us to do this blog? lol ohh youtube* mind you Lov3lyLatinas is NOT on the YT yet!!!! lol i dont know if we will be though we are camera shy.kind of. I however do have a YTchannel (KeepinItSimplyM3 for those who are curious) but no videos up there lolll again camera shy?hmmm i guess. i do however subscribe to a handful of my fav gurus!!  what can i say me and my sister love watching makeup videos we are addicted. So maybe the gurus inspired us to skip the YT channel and go straight to a blog.

 I am actually going to make a video on my YT channel and hopefully create some buzz as well as tell some ppl on fb.

Inspiration comes from everywhere. I love traveling and was fortunate enough to go study abroad for about 5 months and it was an amazing experience! I miss it dearly but I am destined to go back, the world is a beautiful place and to step outside your comfort zone and learn something totally different and do something you thought you would never do is something that is truly inspiring!

I think I will make this a continuous section like an inspiration section on our blog because I can truly talk about this topic and so much many more things!! can't wait to share future posts with pics of things that inspire me!

Winter Wonderland

On December 26th, 2010 here in NYC we had a Blizzard. Although it did not happen on Christmas day as we anticipated a White Christmas we were happy for some white snow. Below you will find some pictures we took of the beautiful white snow in Central Park. It was definitely a site to remember in the park because not many people were out to enjoy the snow. It was one of those moments where its like if you don't have to go outside, DON'T! But of course a little snow won't stop us New Yorkers from being who we are!

Hello 2011

That time of year has arrived once again... 2011 I can't believe it... Well my sister and I spent New Years together for another year partying with our friends. We had a great time and hope you and your family/friends had a safe and happy New Year!

Any New Year Resolutions? I have a little list in my head....
Claudia's 2011 Resolutions:

• budget my money!!!
• excercise more, yeah i may be paper thin but that doesnt mean i am in shape hahahhaa. ZUMBA anyone?
• go to church more often. oh i def. do prayers before going to bed but it has been a while since i been to church. The last time I was in church was in Paris(May 2010).
• find a higher paying job -___-

O0Oh I would like to add that I worked hard on my makeup look so here is a close up on my eyes :)
If you are curious about what I used......Hard Candy Quad in Techno, I used the silver as a base then applied NYX glitter eyeliner in silver all over my lid & TA-DA sparkle sparkle like thee NYE BALL lol.
